Bills spokesman Scott Berchtold said Peters reported Saturday and that questions about his physical and roster status won't be answered until after Sunday's home game against Seattle. Peters won't play against the Seahawks.

Cowboys CB Newman questionable (AP) - Dallas Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman is listed as questionable for the season opener at Cleveland. Newman's uncertain status on Friday's injury report was another sign that Adam Jones may make his Dallas debut as a starter on Sunday. It will be Jones' first NFL game since the 2006 season. Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said this week that Jones would start if Newman wasn't in the lineup.

Seahawks WR Branch to miss opener (AP) - The return of Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Deion Branch is going to wait at least a week. Branch was ruled out of Seattle's season opener at Buffalo by coach Mike Holmgren on Friday. Branch was trying to get back in time for the opener just seven months after having major reconstructive surgery on his left knee.

Grant misses Pack practice as precaution (AP) - Packers running back Ryan Grant and defensive end Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila missed practice Friday as a precaution heading into Monday night's opener against Minnesota. Grant has been dealing with an ailing hamstring, while Gbaja-Biamila has been recovering from right knee surgery. Both players fully participated in practice on Thursday.

CBS sues NFLPA over fantasy football (AP) - CBS has filed a federal lawsuit to establish its right to use without charge the statistics that underlie fantasy football leagues. The lawsuit filed Wednesday in Minneapolis by the network's online operation claims that the NFL Players Association has threatened to sue the company if it does not pay licensing fees for the statistics.

Giants' Kiwanuka angry at Samuels (AP) - New York Giants defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka said on Friday that Washington Redskins tackle Chris Samuels made a dirty play when he fell on the back of his ankle after being beaten on a pass rush on the final play of the NFL season opener. Kiwanuka hurt his left ankle on the play. X-rays were negative, but the ankle was still sore on Friday, and so was Kiwanuka.

Ravens OT Anderson hopes to face Bengals (AP) - After signing his three-year, $11 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Friday, offensive tackle Willie Anderson hopes to play in Sunday's season opener against the team that cut him. The 6-foot-5, 340-pound former Cincinnati Bengals team captain isn't expected to start immediately at right tackle, where Adam Terry is atop the depth chart.

Jaguars WR Porter ruled out of opener (AP) - Jaguars receiver Jerry Porter was ruled out of Sunday's season opener at Tennessee because of a hamstring injury. Porter, who signed a lucrative contract to be the team's No. 1 receiver during the offseason, had surgery to repair a torn hamstring a week before training camp. He missed all of camp and the preseason, but returned to practice Monday and had hoped to be back for the opener.

Eagles' top 2 receivers may miss opener (AP) - The Eagles could play the season opener without their two top wide receivers after Reggie Brown missed his second straight practice Friday. Brown has been sidelined since straining his left hamstring in the second preseason game against Carolina. He took part in individual drills on Wednesday, but sat out the next two practices and is doubtful for Sunday's game against the St.

Ex-Giants WR Ingram faces arrest warrant (AP) - An arrest warrant was issued Friday for Mark Ingram, a star on the New York Giants' 1991 Super Bowl-winning team who failed for a third time to appear in federal court for sentencing on a money laundering and bank fraud conviction. U.S. District Court Judge Denis Hurley said the warrant won't be enforced until Sept.
